Okay, I'm an idiot
But, I can live with it
Anyway, I want to play Warzone with real, live people, because the AI's getting on my nerves- it won't form any alliances, neither accepting nor denying them, but just simply letting the offer hang. Locking teams was okay for a while, but I can just sit back, defend my base, do some research, let my teammate(s) take all the damage, and then knock the crap out of everything with VTOLs. Heck, the NTW, version 1.7.1, mod doesn't even have the AI's hitting my with anything but light bodies, and absolutely no VTOLs at all.
Anyway, could some kind sole take my hand and tell me what I have to do to play somebody online? Now, remember, I'm an idiot, okay? Gamespy arcade didn't recognize that I had the game installed, even after I told it where to scan, I have no idea what that port 999999 business is, and I can't imagine how it can be done with an IRC channel, or chat room, without the game knowing, somehow, that I'm on the channel, or in the chat room.
Please someone, help- I wanna play!
Thanks

Publish some sort of IM here, that makes it a lot easier.
Even if you can't imagine how it can be done with an IRC channel or chat room, go in one anyway. Anyone who wants to play will probably be able to show you how it's done.
Basically, choose one of: Xfire, Hamachi, IRC. Find the group/network/channel full of Warzone players, and ask them to play.
You don't need to worry about port 9997-9999 unless you're hosting, and it might be easier to let other people host if you're not good at figuring this kind of stuff out. Nonetheless, if you do, it's pretty simple: If you have no router, you don't need to worry about it. If you do, you need to configure it for port forwarding ports 9997 through 9999 to your computer. Many web sites can teach you how to set up port forwarding.

Re: How In The Heck Can I Play Online?
I have hamachi (and only 1 room with WZ players), but i can rarely play cause nobody is online ever.
So, i´m asking for some help with xfire. i have installed it, logged in, but it seems that the program doesn´t detect the Warzone. What should i do?
If anybody can help me, i will be gratefully.

It's not designed to detect Warzone. You have to add friends manually.Soul wrote:I have hamachi (and only 1 room with WZ players), but i can rarely play cause nobody is online ever.

If you want to coordinate games, the IRC channel is the best place.
