War - On the computer and in my every day life
Still got 4 months of deployment left out here in asscrackistan.
I was thinking today, while not pulling a 12 hour tower gaurd shift, how my entire life revolves around war.
Im either on duty, scanning my sectors, on my computer playing warzone, or watching some military movie like band of brothers.
There has to be a point where the war around me stops, both in reality and not.
comments?

read a book. just pick one at random. like the fellow at the rifle range said - when i get nervous about my turn at the line - i just go and have a nap untill the feeling goes away... so read - is pretty much the same thing but can be to your advantage depending on the book.

Re: War - On the computer and in my every day life
were pulling out in 4 months. As for reading a book, does anybody have any suggestions?
I would love to read something on warzone 2100, isnt their a story line that somebody wrote?

sitting in the tower next to outgoing. rounds were hitting 4.2 miles away (using noise to impact math)
Using Thermals and digital camera, 120mm Howizters in action (u can see adjustment towards the end along with the gunline crew)

wohoo! fired a flare at some kids touching the wire in front of my tower today.
They took off running like cock-roaches.

Hey, I like that! Much better than just standing on the porch, yelling at the squirrels to get off the lawn.fired a flare

I think M406 or M651 would be more effective than flares

wouldnt it be better to place a few blinds down along the wire with remote controlled "dummy" grunts and some monster growls --- for kids that would scare the bejesus out of em. and reports of monsters outside the wire would spread quickly.... kids you dont necessary want to kill - just make em respect the line of "no go " right??

is that a real comment? Uhm, well i think the kids would sh*t their pants if a cyborg rose out of the ground and fired lazers at them and was remote controlled by me from the tower. 12 hours a day in a tower and u start thinking of the most dumb crap imaginable.lav_coyote25 wrote:wouldnt it be better to place a few blinds down along the wire with remote controlled "dummy" grunts and some monster growls --- for kids that would scare the bejesus out of em. and reports of monsters outside the wire would spread quickly.... kids you dont necessary want to kill - just make em respect the line of "no go " right??
