help may day take over base @ team beta
Please I need help I have been transported to team beta and for some reason the 70000 dollars or energy is not there and I deatoyed all the enemy bases once out of several hour and forty five minute attemps and the game said I failed . This is a vry difficult mission and time consuming just to lose over and over again. Also is there any cheat codes that work. I hit t then enter codes and can see what I type but the codes do not work. If anyone can help me please do because I like the game I down loaded it from gamers hell .com and it said wz2100 beta 2.1.0
I do want to say thank you again

Well I found out how to get the cheat codes to work.You follow the instructions,but at the end of the code page in you copy and paste this. #!/bin/sh
MYDIR=`dirname “$0”`
cd “$MYDIR”
pwd
exec ./warzone2100 --datadir ../Resources/data --cheat.
It worked for me after I tried everything else!Give it a try guys!!

Once you've transported to the Eastern Sector, you are no longer the commander of Team Alpha. You now command Team Beta, and use Team Beta resources and facilities. You cannot access the power supply at Alpha Base, and cannot build any new units at Alpha Base.wizardo032 wrote:Please I need help I have been transported to team beta and for some reason the 70000 dollars or energy is not there and I deatoyed all the enemy bases once out of several hour and forty five minute attemps and the game said I failed . I'm not writing up another overly-detailed walkthrough, so I'll just get to the point. In order to win the mission, you must destroy every single Collective unit and structure on the map.
There are three enemy outposts to the north. One contains mortar pits, lancer towers, and a Collective HQ, and is very easily visible. Another one just west of it contains Bombard pits, a Sensor tower, and various assorted bunkers. This is another obvious target, since those damn mortars cause unacceptable levels of damage to your base if you don't kill them or their Sensor tower early. The third outpost is east of the Collective HQ, and is built by the Collective during the mission. It contains an oil derrick and a couple of defensive structures. It's not as obvious as the first two, but is still very easy to kill.
Another major target is the Collective LZ to the southeast. This LZ is defended by some more defensive structures, and attacking it will provoke the Collective's Transport to fly in a group of reinforcements to defend it. Exterminating this LZ will cut off enemy attacks from the southeast. As long as there is at least 1 Collective structure surviving on the map, the enemy will periodically send in attack forces from the northern edge of the map, so keep defending the north until all the outposts are completely dead.

If I'm not mistaken, the "Northern reinforcements" arrive every 8 game minutes. The best way to handle them (if you are trying to milk the stage for cash) is to set up a defensive wall along the north edge of the map where they spawn (bunkers in front, Lancers / HC Towers behind), and let the reinforcements smack into it. Nothing too elaborate; I just figure out exactly which quare they spawn on, and place 1 MG bunker directly south of that, 1 to each side of the middle one, leave 2 spaces, and then 1 more MG bunker, and back each one up. It ends up looking like...
---------S---------
X------XXX-------X
L------CLC------L
S = Spawn, X = MGBunker, L=LancerHarpoint, H=HeavyCannonHardpoint
Building that wall will also greatly assist during Beta3, when the map expands

Re: help may day take over base @ team beta
I just put my best tank group up at the northern edge and they maul the Collective attack groups as they appear. I have a Repair Facility set up nearby, and tanks are set to Retreat at Medium. This gives them free experience while I milk the mission timer. I've thus far never lost a unit this way. The Heavy Cannon Python Tracks tank is just so awesome. Only the Collective's Heavy Cannon Tiger Tracks can match it, and they never show up in significantly high numbers while those free-experience candy targets, the cyborgs, appear in generously large battalions.
When the map expands in Beta 3, the tank group begins thrashing the Collective's forward base immediately, and with artillery support, flattens it in under 5 minutes.

You're still on 2.0.10, right?Skrim wrote:I just put my best tank group up at the northern edge and they maul the Collective attack groups as they appear. (I say that because, I've noted in 2.1, while this still "mostly" works, occasionally one of the spawn-parties is 2 HC-tigers, 3 TK-panthers, and a slew of cyborgs. If all 3 TKs unload at once, which they likely will, one of your tanks will be trashed. Same with a bunker, but I don't really care about losing a bunker

Please. Don't tell me of what happens in 2.1. It sounds entirely crazy.
3 Tank Killers destroying a Heavy Cannon Python Tracks.
Heavy Cannon being stronger than the Scourge Missile and Gauss Cannon.
Tank Killer being stronger than the Scourge Missile.
AA guns being almost entirely useless.
Artillery being dead-on accurate.
Flamers being deadly.
Cyborg Flamers being all-kill spam units.
Missiles and mass drivers being useless.
Lancer being very high-tech and very weak.
So... yeah.
