i was just thinking... wouldent it be cool to use transpots in multiplayer. just like in single player where you send tanks to kill the enemy.
i have some ruels if this is gonna be added to the game
-cant build facktory's in the enemy map only on your own map.
-you can only build oli derricks there once the enemy is completely destroyed
the time on transports is up for disscussion.
note. that this will be a very long game.

do you mean as a multi-map giant battlefield, where every player starts on their own maps and start battling each other only after they have progressed to a certain level, and then use transports to move troops to the enemy map for war?

I agree with this idea with all my might.
Its definitely something the resurrection team can consider doing AFTER fully building the game.
Or make it a game type for the final release at their own discretion.
Or a mod perhaps?
One thing is certain, it better work in skirmish!

courtesy of Troman's efforts. it boils down to who wants to invest the time and energy to make it compatible with the current wrp binary. no - not i. already working on pf code & ai scripting for another game.

done in 2005 but only compatible with v.1.10a. it is one of my all time favorite wz mods-ais. beside the binary, i also have the source. all of itOr a mod perhaps?

no tutorials for this kind of job exist. i do admire your courage to take it on mowie1 but it does require skills and knowledge
that are as far from a "piece of cake" as landing a man on the moon.
the best tac, imho, is adding Unit Transport drop support to Aivolution and this is something Troman has considered a possibility and
since he is the creator no one else has the know-how better than he does. but like everyone that is realistically capable of doing this work he is
busy with other commitments.
i do not know if the following suggestion will make a huge difference but what could be of value is polling this to see just how many
wz gamers would like Unit Transport drops in the game - MP & Ski. i think it makes for really amazing-fun game play and, if I recall,
Troman himself expressed a real fondness for it and its power.earlier this year.....

perhaps you should get in touch with troman and ask how up-to-date is this doc
i would suggest you create a mod where everybody recieves units every ten minutes. a transporter comes, drops units and goes away. troman could give you advice if you ask him nicely

over the course of almost 10 years I only know maybe 7 people that have done anything of substance with wz ai scripting. why so few ?
i'll leave that an open question.
if you do decide to tackle it mowie1 i would strongly suggest you get NIKER's VSC (VLO&SLO Compiler) v2.50 tool HERE . this utility will spare you countless hours of frustration and accelerate your work by leaps and bounds. it helped me a ton when i was learning - as did Pumpkin, Troman and NIKER's source. good luck.
