Its been a while, I have a few questions...

I played wz for a few years, specifically with the 1.10 patch and during the struggle to get the source code. I havent played for a few years and would like to start playing again. I do however have a few simple questions about how everything works now, especially pertaning to MP....

1. What version is used most commonly for online play?
2. I no longer have my WZ cds and have downloaded the game. It wants me to insert my cd in order to play online, is there a crack or anything of the sort to get around this problem?
3. What maps do you guys usually play with? do you still play Team War and New Team War?

The most stable version for online play should be the latest 2.1 beta, beta 5.

You don't need the old version CDs to play wz2100R. Just use the installer you can download from the "downloads" section: if you already have version 1 installed, it will make another install for 2.1.
Make sure you open the correct version when you startup the game.

3. What maps do you guys usually play with? do you still play Team War and New Team War?

I would say the most used maps (in 2.1) these times are the default maps, since old maps are not compatible and would require redesigning. Anyway, if you look through the forums you should find some newely-made map.

I have downloaded and installed 2.1 beta 5 , i tried to run it and it is giving me some weird resullts...
the game loads and only shows the background, no menu. it plays music and makes the noise when you click where the menu should be.
I've actually goten the game to load the campaign by clicking randomly, but when it loads I cannot see the world, its just the loading screen. I can do ctrl a and select units and move them around, so the game works, its just not displaying what it should.

I run windows Vista, and have a decent computer so i know it should be able to run it.

Any Ideas/suggestions?
