On the second transport mission, the one where you have to return to the LZ for the transport to come I keep getting notified to return to LZ even though I have all my units on it. I know it is no fault of mine as I made sure I had every unit there and I just played the mission on my original Warzone CD and it worked fine. I have the latest beta version and this is the first time I have played your game. Is this a common problem and is there anything I can do to fix it?

Assuming it is beta 5, then no, it isn't a common problem. You sure you had all units on the LZ?

Generally, this happens when there's some unit you've forgotten about.
I think the game should just consider it "good enough" if more than half the units are at the LZ. I mean, does it really add to the difficulty or fun to get the other units back? If they die, you win anyway. A good rule of thumb is if an aspect of a game adds nothing but frustration, it should be removed.

I have the latest beta. Perhaps the pathfinding is what prevented them all from being on the LZ. I carefully scanned the map and everything was around the LZ. I had quite a few units so maybe the pathfinding prevented them all from cramming into the space. It aint to much of an issue as it aint the longest of missions and I save after every mission so i can redo it till it works as it appears to not be common.
By the way, great work with the game. I really like all the resolution options. I used to play it all the time back when it was first released but could never get passed the early level where you have to build a base on the plateau as the game failed to acknowledge my base. Maybe I was young and stupid back then and missed something...
Oh and one thing that infuriates me is when you set a unit to retreat at maximum or medium damage and they retreat the wrong direction, through the enemy base and just get slaughtered. Happens to me all the time and you can't order them to move a different way as every time they get hit you lose control of them. I keep losing my high ranked units to this. That is a problem with the original game to I think.

if you do they will take the path assigned to them home - even if its through an enemy base.
do a bit of the ol micromanagement... that is - so far - the only solution to the above problem.

Well, if there's a straight line free from enemies between your units and your base, you should set them on retreat on heavy.lav_coyote25 wrote:dont put them on retreat at med or heavy damage.
