WZCK?
Hey, I'm kinda new here, although I've been lurking and admiring all of the work you guys and gals have been putting into this! I was wondering if Stratadrake's WZCK could be used with the new projects you are releasing. If I recall right, he released the source along with it, but I know not where to get it. That, and I probally couldn't make anything out of the code if I wanted too
What I mean is can anyone make anything with the source to make it compatible with the beta's? I know it might be a little bit of a hassle since they are changing quite a bit.
Anything is possible, it's all about probability

Unfortunately, Strata's WZCK doesn't work with this version. Fortunately, you don't need to use code, you just need to edit text files ...in code. It's not that hard, really.Mach10chocobo wrote:Hey, I'm kinda new here, although I've been lurking and admiring all of the work you guys and gals have been putting into this! Just rename mp.wz to mp.wz.zip, extract the zip file, edit the text files, then when you're done, select the files and put them in a zip file, and rename to yourmodname.wz.
One way to make the text files easier to edit is to rename them to .csv, then open them with a spreadsheet application like Excel or Numbers or OOo Calc or Gnumeric or something. Just remember to rename them back.

Wow, didn't realize it twas that easy! Thanks a lot!
Yeah, I haven't been around in a while, so I was just checkin.
Also I know It's probalyl somewhere buried in the threads, but I've had no luck so far finding it, so I'll ask here.
How do you get the mods and maps to work and load properly? I know regular warzone mods and maps aren't compateble, but I can't even get the new ones to work...

Re: WZCK?
It's rather silly how mods work.

Sooner or later there'll probably a way to handle mods in-game, but for now, this is how you load them.

Re: WZCK?
For maps, you just stick the mapname.wz file in your configdir/maps directory, and that is it.Mach10chocobo wrote:Meh it is what it is. Well thanks!
Oh! And what about maps?
The configdir is the directory that holds your music, screendumps, and lots of other stuff. Do a search for 'screendumps' on your system, and you will find it. Oh, it may be a hidden directory.
If we had a better GUI this could change easily. Right now, it is a PITA to do anything with the GUI.Zarel wrote:It's rather silly how mods work.

Well, now it might be easier to tell people to move things into autoload/Buginator wrote:For maps, you just stick the mapname.wz file in your configdir/maps directory, and that is it.Mach10chocobo wrote:Meh it is what it is. Well thanks!
