there are several ways to contact to people, best way atm is xfire, check out viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2087 then there is the irc chat #warzone2100 on freenode and finally there is a lobby ingame, where every yet not started game is displayed

enjoy.. ;)

AFAIK, you need to install gaim & gfire.
Then you can do whatever...

This is for ubuntu, but the same should apply to others as well (mostly):

The in-game lobby blows.

With Xfire, (or whatever), you know people are looking to play. That isn't possible with the current wz lobby, well, I mean, if you 'host' long enough, someone will come, but nobody wants to be looking at that screen, and waiting forever.

It just is much easier finding people on xfire, and getting plan a game that way.

Well, I'll look into Xfire more. I think that there might be something wrong with the Warzone lobby anyway. Me and my brother tried to do multi players with two of are computers (I was hosting) and we couldn't get my game to show up in the lobby on his computer. :-S

If you are on a LAN, then it don't work like that, you have to connect via IP.

We haven't tried IP yet, but we are going to try. :P

I guess that I could just wait for the lobby to be upgraded :...:

Unless you have 2 different external (WAN) IPs, then, it isn't going to happen any time soon.
You could run a lobby server on your own machine, and *then* everyone on the LAN can find you...
