Cheat mode on skirmish

Hello, I've tried searching in this forum for this problem and maybe find a solution, but I couldn't find it.

Can someone please tell me how to be able to use cheats when I play skirmish? Thanks in advance.

No, it says that cheats can't be used in skirmish, and the only way of doing it if using a debug binary. I don't know what that is or how to use it.

Which cheats do you want to use?

The debug build has more debug code in it, and it helps us track things down easier. It also crashes (asserts) more, since we are trying to prevent those from happening on release builds.

Hey, i seem to be having difficulty getting the "cheat mode" to work. I done as it said on here to do. I attached "[--cheat]" to the end of my sortcut application of warzone 2100 v2.10 and opened it using the run application on my windows laptop...but im not getting any results when i get on the game and hit "left shift" and "backspace" simultaneously...wtf? did i miss something? plz will somebody show me how to get cheats to work on my comp. also i would like to make my own map on warzone and do some multiplays... what do i need to do to make my own maps? download anything? if so...can i have some links plz? ^_^ thanks

I use right shift + backspace... I forget if it makes a difference or not.
And as was mentioned above, you need 'debug' builds of the game to enable all the cheats.
Release builds only have partial cheat support.

Maybe we should change this... I see no important reason why cheats should not be available in non-debug builds.

The only real time we really need to disable cheats are in MP games... and before someone says make it a option for MP games to turn it on/off, all I have to say to that is.

hahah, so whats up? is the way i explained how i used the cheat codes the right way to do it? by turning on the "debug mode" in the files under warzone 2100?

At least allow it in debug builds. Some of us actually want to test the multiplayer functionality of something but don't have the time to research it manually. The research tree is huge, after all.

You can already use most cheats in multiplayer, if you have debug builds.
