The original files will be integrated in few versions. Developers need more time, they are some things more important to fix before (as i understood).

Yeah, I think fixing the bugs so 2.1 can be released soon is more important at the moment, but perhaps someone could post a guide on how to get the music of your legally owned Warzone 2100 copy playing in the 2.1 beta? Which programs are best for ogg encoding, how to name the files, where to put them and how the playlist file should look to get the music played in the same way it was played in the original version. Might possibly only work for the PC version, I don't know if the music on the PSX version was stored as CDA?

The music in the PSX was stored in music.xa as an XA stream which I ripped into lossless WAV, which I then converted to FLAC and OGG.
There are lots of XA ripping tools, many are in japanese though
some have english translations.
Many are very buggy and slow! since also some are quite old they have lots of dependencies
