there are cyborgs (infantry) and everything from light machinegun light armour to heavy cannon and lasers on super heavy bodies... you research everything..mostly - unless you start out in t3... your best bet is to perhaps read the original manual just to get an overview of the game,... the manual can be accessed under the help section or if you prefer the wikki - it will eventually be there as well... maybe... :3

here is the documents project for the original version - prior to the gpl releases... it is still pretty much the same thing.

RTS, yes.

Infantry, sort of. Cyborgs exist in this game, and are indeed (overall) weaker than vehicles, but oddly enough, you get vehicles before cyborgs. Don't worry, it all makes sense.

Rather than a fixed number of units types (ALA starcraft), in this game you have different propulsion, weapon, and body choices for your vehicles, and you choose what combination of the 3 to produce. Machinegun Lightbody on Wheels? check. Heavy Rockets on a Hovercraft? Check. The only thing you need to do is to research the items before you can use them (and the research tree is HUGE).

In singleplayer, the order of research is dictated to you based on the storyline. In Multiplayer, the whole tree is available, as long as you research the pre-reqs to any given tech (you cannot, for example, research the Heavy Cannon until you have the Light and Medium cannons done).

Warzone physics in a nutshell. Oh, and I hope you like Artillery.
