Just recently downloaded warzone2100-2.0.10 only to start the missions and get to a certain point when it started crashing at random points sometimes in the middle of missions, then when trying to load that particular game back up the whole game would crash/shutdown in a quick glitchy manner diverting the screen back to my desktop. This was also the case in skirmish when saving my progress in long games.
I'm up to the last mission of the second part of the campaign where you have to evacuate as many units as possible before your base and the collective get nuked, when the games crashes at around 18 minutes remaining which is just so tedious
Oh and I've also noticed some dodgy goings on in the mission I am currently stuck on. I keep on noticing some of my units suddenly teleporting out of my base into the top left hand corner of the map then when I command them to move with the rest of their group, which is still currently in my base the units in the top left hand corner explode and then it sometimes crashes the game???
This is what comes out in the computer's console when I either 1)attempt to load a saved game up or, 2) crashes midmission:
"error: mapHeight: x coordinate bigger than map width
error: Assert in Warzone: /Users/freddie/Documents/Programming/2.0/macosx/../src/move.c:858 : updateDroidOrientation (psDroid->x < (mapWidth << TILE_SHIFT))
Assertion failed: (psDroid->x < (mapWidth << 7)), function updateDroidOrientation, file /Users/freddie/Documents/Programming/2.0/macosx/../src/move.c, line 858."
Im Am running it on my old yet sturdy Macintosh 17" 1.67 GHz/ 512 DDR2 SDRAM G4 Power Book which is currently running Mac OS X version 10.4.11.
Hope someone can help out.
This game is one of the best 3D RTS around having played it ages ago on the PS1, and for free it just amazing, just a shame it keeps crashing on me.
