Suggestions...
Make an official Warzone Game Engine (WZGE), so that even if Warzone collapses players can develop their own games. The game engine should have the features of the 32 bit BETA World Editor, Campaign Editor, RulesTools, and RPL Editor combined. Plus, it should allow the creation of vehicles, structures, buildings, resources, and effects. The objects (such as the AIs) should be simply placed on the map (like applying a tile to the layout of the map). Plus, there should be a debugger. It should be, of course, under the GPL.

Here a quote from the official readme:richard14110 wrote:First of all, why don't you guys try to work together with the developers at Pivotal Games or at least contact them? Splitting up will slow down development of Warzone 2100, and will cause a little competition. If there was one solid version of Warzone 2100, things can be accomplished much quicker.

* Everything you will require to make a build of the game should be here. If it isn't, you'll have to improvise(*).
* None of us here at Pivotal Games are in a position to be able to offer any help with making this work.
There should be many things. And some of them are already in development. So, you're free to contribute to this project since our time is limited.richard14110 wrote:Make an official Warzone Game Engine (WZGE), so that even if wz collapses players can develop their own games to "match up to the future." We all have the same heaven, but not the same horizon.

What are you talkin' about?richard14110 wrote:First of all, why don't you guys try to work together with the developers at Pivotal Games or at least contact them? A) The Pivotal Games guys are pretty much all gone, with only a skeleton crew left.
B) Splitting up what? Competition with whom?
C) If they (former Pivotal guys) ever would want to contribute, they can, nothing is stopping them, but I think they may be trying to find new jobs.
D) Time is limited.
E) Talk is cheap.
However, since you seem to know all the answers, if you want to hire the former Pivotal guys, then I am sure they can make what you requested happen in a few years. Just post back when you got at least $500,000.
