Where should I put custom maps?

Post by Alpha93 »

I present myself with this topic: I'm a huge fan of this game(since far1999,when i tried the demonstration game),and finished a lot of times the campaign at easy and normal difficulty(can't manage to win 1st mission of eastern sector at hard -.-'').Now I found this opensource version...I've downloaded 2.0.10(beta 4 crashes TOO many times, goes out very much of sync I guess)and downloaded the ultimate mod pack with many custom maps(in wdg format). Now,in which folder should I put these custom map files?maps already in the game are soooooo much boring except some.

What are your system specs?
What crashes about beta 4?
For out of sync, 2.0.x, is by far, a worse version for that.

And finally, no version supports .wdg format, except the original (1.x). You must convert them yourself, or download the ones already available located in the forums in the appropriate section.

Create a new folder in your warzone directory called "maps" "C:\Program Files\Warzone 2100\maps. thats where you put any compatible maps.

Actually, it should be in the 'writedirectory', which is where the music/prefs/savegames are, and there is a directory named 'maps' (& 'music' & 'savegames' &...) already there.
