Master Server

I would like to a see a main master server so all the games can be hosted onto that. And if you want to host your own game; it would be connected with the Master server as well. Like wolfenstein,cod, and other games have this. This and many other games are so complicated with the join server problem.

If you don't catch where I'm going at go play Wolfenstein or COD and see there Game Server lists.

We already have this in Warzone (we refer to it as a Lobby server sometimes). It runs on port 9997 (2.1) and 9998 (2.0) at lobby.wz2100.net.

Really? I have never been able to connect to that server, not even once. And i have been playing warzone 2100 more than 6 months now. Lobby has never worked. I just tried to connect to lobby again couple of minutes ago, but no success. When I start game from Debian Linux commandline it says:

error: NETfindGame: Cannot connect to "lobby.wz2100.net:9998": Couldn't connect to remote host

If I go to that address using telnet

$ telnet lobby.wz2100.net 9998
Trying 78.47.27.67...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

Same with port 9997. So there is no master server or it's always down when i try to play.

i never been able to get the online to work either nor lan maybe we need a sound or welcome to online or a lil connectivity light to show successful connect

When I go into the lobby server, i dont see any games, maybe it's because people aren't playing, or do i need something?

Well you see, im not much of a computer genius, maybe a wiz, but genius im not...

I don't know how to make the maps and such, nor create sound of my own...I'm just a slow high school student, looking to be an architect
