Best Warzone Setup/mod to Play with

Including the latest trunk,mod, or patch, which is the most stable updated way to play warzone?

Im using 2.1b2 with NTW mod right now.

I installed the latest trunk that updated my game to June 23rd, but that version crashes so i went to 2.1b2 NTW.

Any ideas?

I'd say the branch would be the safest bet for stability as they are getting it polished up for a release. But "best" is a personal preference and IMO that would be the trunk. It's like trying to drive a car that a mechanic is still working on. tell me thats not fun.

I'd suggest you to use Grim's graphic mod, which has some improved graphics on it. It should be already installed when you install the game (same for AIvolution, which introducts a new redesigned AI to the game making it better to play against CPU)

oh man, its so great to hear that the ppl like to play with my... well, now ~ 1 1/2 year old mod : D.
there are many players on gamespy which dont like ntw mod. but i had many games with it too^^.
i realy did many versions for 1.10... to many. and thats not so good in a mutiplayer game.
but now i think that i found the right speed ^^. release fast bug fix versions and slow upgrade versions.

ok, i only wanna say that iam almost sure that you cant use ntw mod with a trunk version.
trunk version changed already to much.

well, the latest trunk (3014) or something close to that did update my 2.1b2 version to june 23rd and added some new features. Too bad that whenever it loads a map it decides not to work. Anyway , the reason i like playing with NTW + 2.1b2 is becuase of the scavengers. I love playing as the scavengers, i whish we were able to biuld and design ALL of the vehicles, instead of just two bodies and few structures. ANyway, The latest trunk doesnt work entirely for me, am i doing something wrong?

Also - Is there a better Scav MoD than NTW?

No, thats just the way the trunk is. You never really know if it's going to be i
n a playable state from one day to the next. It's where all the main development
happens and things change alot. If things are broken then it's not really a big deal as it's not something that they are releasing to everyone as a finished product.

When they get ready to make a release then the trunk is branched and it gets polished up and some bugs are shaken out of it. And thats where the beta you were using comes from. I was thinking there might be some recent builds from the branch
h around somewhere but all I can see is the beta so thats probably your best bet
for something stable atm.

ya maybe in 1.7... there was some probs, but i have a few ideas now^^.

and few structures

there are almost all scav structures. scav lancer site is not in coz its to strong and res tree is full.
and scav end tower is a bit buggy in the rotation.

1.7? U mean NTW 1.7? Can u give a status on how that is comming along?

yes ntw mod 1.7... status? uhm, well before 1.7 comes 1.6.6 bug fix version and this comes with beta 3.
i do new versions (like always) first for 1.10 and then convert to 2.1. 1.7 for 2.1 comes in end of this year maybe.
