This bug was around from the retail version, after a few hours of playing, the sound's just failed to play anymore.
only fix was to quit, and re-load the game.
Occasionally the odd sound slips through, but its silence for most part.
Sound Cuts out after a hour or so playing.

You should open up the pause menu and close it to empty the sound buffer (or something), the developers are already aware of this bug. I hope they'll find a way to fix it soon

The fix would be to actually have a sound manager.doom3r wrote: You should open up the pause menu and close it to empty the sound buffer (or something), the developers are already aware of this bug. I hope they'll find a way to fix it soon
I am unsure of the status of the new sound code.
and it ends here.

a simple fix might be that the game sends whatever it sends when clicking on the techreview(or however) button

How will that fix anything?Andariel wrote: a simple fix might be that the game sends whatever it sends when clicking on the techreview(or however) button
There is no real sound manager, so everything gets thrown in the queue. THAT is the problem, and until a new sound manager can be made, there is no real simple fix.
and it ends here.
