No textures!?

How do I get the textures to render? All maps are white! Models are fine.

I tried searching the forums but did not find an answer or a similar problem...

yet no answer... I'll try and dig deeper...

It could have something to do with opengl drivers. A friend of mine was having the same problem, also combined with VERY low fps and messed up menu text. We didn't solve it, maybe it was a hardware thing because all video drivers were ok and opengl just wouldn't work.

Not sure what I did, but it's working now... maybe it just needed to be launched multiple times with different setting then the default... no idea...

What gfx hardware & drivers you got / using?

White textures usually means out of memory for the gfx card.

Hmm.. don't see you specs in this thread?

If you are only getting 4-5, then your not openGL accelerated.
Which drivers & OS you using?

A GF3 should be able to be ok, just turn off shadows, and perhaps use the smallest texture size of 64.

XP.. Driver version...6.14.10.9371... but it's working better now...

This is usually because the gfx drivers you are using suck.

Update them, or revert to some older ones.

It also might be the case where you have too old hardware, and saying you have no textures, but not listing your system specs don't really help.

Standard drill for fixing display problems is:

* turn off compositing window managers ( like aero or compiz )
* update (or rollback ) video driver
* turn down hardware acceleration
* reduce color depth

In your case, reducing texture page size (in WZ) might help.
