I see... so it means i won't be able to run it on that old machine anymore. Oh well.EvilGuru wrote: The retail version of the game had a software renderer. This would use the systems CPU to render everything in-game. However, a few years back this, along with the DirectX and 3DFX renderers were removed and replaced with a single OpenGL one.
I have a GeForce2 somewhere, the problem is that the mainboard of that machine doesn't even have an AGP slot =_=People give away hardware capable of playing the game regularly. That GeForce 3 you thought was useless? It will play the game.
It's easier to buy a semi-decent machine nowadays, it's just that i like to use my PCs as long as possible (until they die)
It does, just after half a minute or something. (timed it: ~20 secs until a black screnn appears, another 20 secs until the backround+ loading bar appears) I doubleclick the warzone shortcut, it starts loading (cpu load + hdd LED blinking) but takes much longer than the retail version. Might be because of the 128MB texture setting though (on the laptop). The loading times are the same whether i am in the variable CPU clock mode or fixed@max and nearly the same for the other PCs i have (one athlonXP 2k+, the other P4 1.5Ghz)Do you mean it starts loading but never finishes?
