Crash in Campaign Mission Beta 6 ("Destroy Reactor")

The game crashes, when my transport to is loaded with units, I start it, and the away mission should start in Beta 6 mission of the single player campaign. I use the Debian package of 2.1 beta 2. This is the console output:

error   : VLO parse error: Template Assault Gunner not found at line 320, token: -2, text: 'Cyb-RotMG-GROUND'
error   : Script cam2-5.vlo did not compile
Saved dump file to '/tmp/warzone2100.gdmp'

Could this be similar to the crash reported in "Campaign crash?" by ChronoSphere?

Both crash due to what looks like missing/corrupt cyborg templates

As I understand it, it unfortunately seems that the error is carried forward in the saves from previous game versions, meaning the campaign has to be started from scratch...

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.  ;D

I already started the campaign from scratch. If I get past the previous crash I'll update the information here and put a comment on the ticket.

The bold part was not true in my case. All the savegames I used were made by the 2.1 beta2 r1 version of the game. Looking at what Troman wrote

Does it mean that the 2.1 beta2 r1 still has this bug and is considered an "older version"?

I saw this thread before making mine, but since i was getting another message at another mission, i thought i better make a separate thread.

I have just double-checked, this template was never removed and and I see no reason why WZ would not find it, because it does exist. Not sure what is wrong here.

Maybe campaign beta testers will be able to shed more light on that issue.

No, those unused cyborg templates don't exist in 2.1 Beta 2 anymore.
