Air to air combat

I want my VTOLs to attack enemy VTOLs.  They don't seem to do this automatically like tanks and cyborgs do.  Is there a trick?  The AI VTOLs seem to have no hesitation in chasing down my aircraft.

assign VTOLs To commanders :D that will help....but then they still don't chase all the way...

putting them on patrol will cause them to follow and attack other vtols they come accross.

assigning them to VTOL sensor towers will cause them to defend the visible area of the tower from both air and ground based threats.

a VTOL CB Sensor equiped unit with even 2-3 vtol can make short work of vast enemy artillery defenses...

warzone has a variety of sensor types for a reason... ;)

i think they was automatiquly attribuate to a sensor because in the campaign, they attack ennemy and i give no order.
The best tactit is to mixted up the great tank,the little tank, the adav and the cyborg. And whit this army, doing great stratégie.
