another engine remake thread
it pique my interest what is reason we hardly change engine. from what i could remember from old post it goes with:
- GPL compatibility
- cross-platform
- can run CSS/JS for easy HUD / menu scripting
- someone had time to do it
what am I missing?.

That pretty much sums it up. And I would guess that "the time to do it" is an unfeasibly large value for someone not working on this full-time.

Unreal does not work with GPL
Torque3D does not support mac anymore
Unity said to be MIT and should be working fine with GPL according to this. still not convinced tho.
seems now even QT5 is good for making games
