I realize that plasma is superheated gas, I was just saying that plasma cannons don't have the same effect.

if a large ball of plasma hit something, i imagine there would be some spontaneous combustion effect.
if plasma where splashed over the targets immediate area, it would have incendiary splash effect would it not?
