I know lobby is always empty, so the best thing to do is to host a game yourself. If i want to play i usually open a match then wait for someone to join while i do something else. Sometimes people come, sometimes not... A very useful program to see if someone wants to play is xfire, which lets you chat with other players. If you don't have it, you can simply use an istant messaging program. There's a thread in this forum where you can post your xfire nickname if you want.

I would like to know why my multiplayer isn't working.  I tested this with two computers, and on either one you could host a game, but the games don't show up in the lobby. The IP/machine name doesn't work either. And I don't want to download any external programs (mods are ok).

Sure it works.  Must be a firewall issue, or perhaps router.  Open ports 9998 & 9999 I think it is, and then it should talk to the master server.

If you are entering a private address, then that won't work unless both machines are on the same LAN.

Multiplayer is working for sure, until you have a firewall which blocks WZ. Maybe you think that it doesnt work because there are not much games online usually

I am having the same problem. I have opened up all my options for tcp's thru my firewall, thru windows xp i opened up port 9999 adn actually made it so this comp will host. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance

Which problem?
Close your firewall program, and then test.
If still no good, bypass your router and test.
If still no good, then something strange is going on with your system.  :-\

The lobby server for 2.0 is currently down (port 9998).

Kamaze or devurandom need to restart it.
