Graphics improvement on the way?

Not like i don't like original graphics, but game is more than 15 years old, and would be nice to have some bump maps or high def textures or something like more detailed units etc. is there some graphics improvement work in progress?

There are graphics improvements being worked on and multiple mods but work is slow and not on high priority...
Check Xenons Mod :)
Holocaust and Genocide, both linked to Mass Slaughter.
