I have a couple of cheap UHD screens at work. So I started the game in 3840 x 2150 on a 50'' screen, it looks really special (I would say good, but the game is unplayable at that resolution, since the zoom is weird somehow, way to close).
My colleague is holding up his iPhone 4 for scale.
This was the most I was able to zoom out.

Yes, the 3D space is distorted somehow, which is seen much more at higher resolutions. You can zoom out further if you enable debug mode, though

Hmm I enabled debug mode, but I can't figure out how to zoom out further...

The perspective distortion is a big mess. Maybe we should have a look into that issue someday!

So I looked into the source and found the constant which limits the zoom:
- file src/display.h
- constant MAXDISTANCE
Did this with version 3.1.1 because there is still that nasty bug in developer version: indirect weapons (e.g. mortar, ground shaker, ripple rockets) cannot fire simultaneously on multiple targets, therefore they are nearly useless when a large hostile army approaches your base.
