Help: Installing Mods

Post by SnowGhost »

Hello,

I am new to this community but have played quite a bit of Warzone 2100. Addons are new to me as well and I am rather interested in them. I have a found a few mods that I would like to install simultaneously but i can't manage to get any of them to noticeably work. I have attempted 3 different mod managers and none of them seemed to work, I managed to get some to find the mods in the mods folders but when I tried to launched Warzone 2100 from the launcher the launcher disappeared and the game did not start up, this happened on both the mod managers I got this far.

The mod managers i have tried:
viewtopic.php?t=3355
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4600
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4431

The mods that I wish to install are:

http://addons.wz2100.net/181
http://addons.wz2100.net/30
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4665
http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/warz ... 28611.html

I don't really understand what I'm doing wrong, please not that I have noticed that the last mod is for version 2.1 I was wondering if anyone knew a way that I could port it to 3.1, weather it's already been ported or if there's a equivalent mod for 3.1, I really like the day night cycle concept.

If someone could give me a link to a tutorial on installing these mods, or write a quick one up themselves that would be much appreciated.

Also I have a friend who I just got onto the game, he enjoys it but would like a right-click to move system, is there anyway that that could be implemented into a version of the game, weather it be through a mod or just txt editing?

Help appreciated,

There is many ways to use mods but I found if you wont better control you use the command line or for windows users you use the desktop link with added options .

Most launchers are outdated, try doing it manually.
