I would like Warzone 2100 to be available on Linux systems as well. I currently use Ubuntu alongside Windows XP and am wanting to switch completely to Linux but Warzone 2100 isn't available on it.

That's merely a proof that the package is present and the author is doing something wrong with his package manager.
