why would anyone leave - leaving is giving up - therefore = loss.  leaving as a cheat?  seems a bit of a cowardly way of doing something!

if it is a crash - proof would have to be given via the crash dump - failing that = the game would have to be redone.

For cheating I mean, someone could leave because he was losing the game then say "That was a crash, I didnt lose." That would be some kind of cheating. If a player gives the proof of crashing, game would have to be redone

that should e count as tie, but the player who crashed should report the error dump to see if he didnt cheat by leaving

I'd say we don't cheat, since we are fair players.

I'd say: Just redo it. Should be no problem, since we don't produce crashes on purpose, do we?

I am often up for a game, and the best way to challenge me is just to find me in the IRC channel. However, I must warn you - I am a horrible player!

I'm the most horrible of all.
Didn't had the internet with the old wz and with my currently I can't host/join games on my setup (Vista, Router firewall).
The old netcode is horrible and that means I haven't played a single mp match of wz ... ever !

Anyway I'm looking forwards to the results of the mp match setup invitation fired off.

It's already mentionned but I will just remention.
Record the game ! (Fraps for exemple).

For those not using Windows I have found recordmydesktop to be a fantastic application for recording windows/desktops (it's all in the name folks!). Also converters the video to a nice OGG theroa/vorbis file for you when you are done.

* This is all bout fun & I see us all as bound to an over-arching community that simply loves the game & is excited about its thriveing future.

* I've known some peeps to cause a crash when their loseing.... I'm not one of them & I don't believe any one here is either.

* How to handle those types in other situations is a good question. I'll have to give it some thought. I don't know what would be a viable solution other than tracking such for a pattern and publically reporting - the ol stigma approach. If you develope a reputation for such, no body is gonna want to play you.

* MP that's stable enough for a couple hours on any .ver will work.

* It'll be interesting to see how WINE works-out EG. I don't know.

* I've played better than myself & while no slouch, the prospect of loseing is just an opportunity to learn & get stronger, IMO.

* I have a Mac PPC Tower running the latest OSX but I don't use it for gaming. I just use my Intel DuoCore for playing WZ & other games. Plus my consoles & PDA.

* Back to 2200 & 3100 stuff.

* j/k...actually i've been renting this VPS for the last 5 years & I believe the hardware is located somewhere in England. Other than that I don't know.

* Been very happy all round with the service & the cost is very reasonable.

* I use the VPS not just for my e-mail and virtual back-ups but also for file exchanges & for a Digital Photo Gallery that's related to on-going work on New Models & Textures for 2200...
