Does AIvolution works with 2.08 and if so is there a new version released ?

Yes, there is a new version of Aivolution, but not tested and not commited yet. The older version, the one in the trunk, should still work with 2.08.

And, as a sidenote, the official name of this AI is Aivolution, not AIvolution. The tradition of misspelling the name goes back into the past when some people didn't pay attention to the correct name and keep misspelling it until today.

Thanks, but it's not quite ready yet. AIs always require a lot of time, unfortunately I don't have that much time at the moment, but I hope I will release the new version some day.

Release it soon...these other AIs either cheat out the ass (make Heavy Cannon tanks in a T1 game in the first two minutes) or are even weaker than the stock AI...I'd like to see one that can adapt instead of being linear the entire game =\

AI tends to cheat a bit, but if you let one of them get to many oil derricks they become unbalanced.
Try to take oil derrick from others down if you can't control them.

The trunks must survive first, that's the hardest part, and secondly, I can't multitask as well as the AI and handle both base/attack and multiple oil derricks defenses.
When I'm in my base, I'm in my base.
The AI is just everywhere on the map calculating everything all together.
He can input multiple commands in not even a second, i can't do that even with shortcuts.
Managing oil derricks defenses can get hectic and distracting, especially with multiple AI.
So I just hit and run to destroy those that I can't keep under control.
It's cheap to send out a unit aim quick and destroy the oil derrick and the trucks nearby.

First the oil derrick has to stop burning, he has to send trucks again and then rebuild the derrick.
For the AI it's just a minor calculation bother and input commands, for a player it's pretty distracting.

if your only playing ai, why dont you turn the speed down when there's too much for our poor, fleshy bodies to deal with?
