a)the developers who have spent several years keeping this project alive in their spare time would suddenly turn into trolls/griefers
b)it would be for them to decide who should lead this project
My opinion is this: there should exist an area that requires a bit more commitment than filling in a captcha.
this is false!

Sorry but i'm not interested in reading your nonsense anymore "ORIGINWAY".
Just glad this forum supports ignore lists.

Maybe have forums that require a user to have at least x amount of posts to enter?
In most cases i observed, the user with most posts shouldn't be allowed to enter anywhere at all.
lol good one!
Wanted to underline this again: i don't care if i'm, personally, allowed to enter such forum, i just want one to exist and operate effectively. This wasn't a typo.
Maybe, but it also makes sense for the devs to have private place where they can discuss things to arrive at a quick consensus without unexpected input prior to discussing such things in more public locations.

From my experiences online, I believe that those that are against change tend to be more vocal about it than those that are either in favor of change (at least initially), or are ambivalent to it. Only when there's a lot of vocal opposition towards change would those that are in favor of change start to speak out.

Those that are for change usually are in no hurry or expect a delay anyways, those that are against it are usually against it because it's either a widely popular idea (or unpopular terrible idea that was forced on us), or has already been accepted for implementation.

As a newcomer to the community, I'm sorry that you feel offended about this. I think that stopping the bike shedding problem is exactly what motivates the introduction of private venues.
I suppose some members of this community discuss things in private e-mails. Are you bothered by that too? Should project management use a court of record? The choice of the venue is irrelevant. What is relevant is that Warzone 2100 is FLOSS and you can setup a fork if you really want to do something about something.
