dont know if this a bug or a feature:
1) auto repair, flamers and building stuff can bee seen even tough there is no sensor or unit in reach(in the unrevealed parts of the map[not the mini map])
2) units dont shoot while they are being repaired?

What exactly is auto repair, ie the difference from normal repair. I have never really got this

In either case I don't see a reason a unit in combat should be able to get or perform repairs. You could probably do some minor repairs even during combat (say 10% repair rate) but not back to full health.
ie tank is down to 50% (50hp of 100) health, repair unit comes along and starts going repairs in a hot combat zones while unit is still firing away at the enemy. Since it is occupied it can only regain 10% of its full health value (10hp). I think that would be more favorable than complete repairs during combat from a repair unit.
