OpenGL 1.2 + TEC is not supported by your system

My stepson just got a new notebook and gave me his old one - it is not too bad and ok for a second computer portable - \i normally use a mac. so the first thing \i install is my fav, wz lol and to my horror it won`t work - i get the following error:

Yeah I am having my doubts of ever getting this up and running from what I have seen... how would I disable shaders when I can't even get the game to start? Also not sure how to use different GPU drivers, don't wanna brick my computer... Thanks

Add "--fallback-mode" to the game's command-line options force it to not use shaders.

(Warning: Only way to get out of fallback mode is currently to edit your config file directly...)

Ok so I edit the shortcut so it is like:

"path to exe" --fallback-mode

yet it doesn't do anything (i mean it is like the app doesn't even launch)

I tried this as well

as I saw somewhere that it should only have one dash... so I dunno, I am more of a mac person lol

--fallback-mode isn't implemented in 3.1, i think, it says Unrecognized option, even though it works on master.

Use --noshaders --novbos or something like that, or just edit the config file (it's easier anyways)

Hmm no change, what exactly is TEC? Is this something I could add?

Sis, generally, doesn't, at all, support OpenGL. They just don't care.

I've heard there is such thing as directx opengl wrappers, which can emulate opengl via directx calls, but never used anything like that.

Personally, whenever I encounter this problem on my computer that runs Windows XP (which is only under certain settings), it seems to terminate the program. However, whenever I encounter this problem on Windows Vista, it continues to run just fine.
