graphical problem

hello people i'm new to this game and i really like to play it. but there is a problem with my computer about this game. first of all i have an old laptop which is a HP compaq nx7010 and it has a Mobility Radeon 9200 with shader 1.4 support. i have the latest drivers hp provides for us and there is no newer catalyst version for my graphics card. i checek it many times from different sources whether i have the shader 1.4 support or not. everytime i got the answer YES. but when i run this game it says Opengl GL SL shader version 1.2 is not supported by your system some things may look wrong please upgrede your graphics drive/hardware if possible but and i can still run the game sometimes. and sometimes everything goes wrong the game freezes on main menu screen or in the loading screen and sometimes i can start the game but i lose my ui and get it back randomly during play. i've looked for newer drivers or some fixes for this issue but nothing. wondering if anyone else faced something like this and could manage to fix it? and/or do you guys have any suggestions? btw i have the latest directx for win xp 9.0c and also the latest graphics card drivers as i mentioned above, i would appreciate any help. thanks is advance.

What is the exact version of the AMD/ATI drivers that you are using ?
