Transport problem

Post by jeadre »

Hi all!

First of all, Warzone 2100 was the first rts game I ever played, I have been hooked on rts games ever since.  Since I downloaded the game from this website, it has been like a stroll down memory lane.  ;D

Now for my problem, I played through the entire game. I am on the last mission, I am all ready to take down Nexus.  I drop off my first load of units and send for my second load. The second load arrives and I click on the transport icon to order my third load... nothing.  I then notice that the transport is flying circles around the LZ.  Huhh??? I had no problems with the transport till now whats the deal?  :o

Move your units a bit away from the transport zone and then usually it can drop.
I've noticed that in rare cases when to many units are stacked close together the transport wont land.
Make sure to clean up the landing place before the transport tries to land.

I hope it will work for you as well.

Strange, because on one of the NP missions, i had the maximum of units stacked up by the LZ, and still more managed to come and land (off screen from the LZ)

It is a problem that occurs rarely and doesn't make warzone crash, most of the time it works, rarely it doesn't.
I've had this happen to me once before also.
Making the transport zone free solved the problem for me.
I'm not sure what is causing this, but since it very rare and doesn't crash Warzone, it might be hard to fix.
Since I didn't have it since long time, it also might be a bug that's been fixed already in the newer releases.

The problem is not in the transport arriving, it's leaving is the problem.  After the second load is delivered the transport doesn't leave, it circles the LZ.  When I click on the load que it does nothing, because it's not at the main base, it's circling the LZ.  After trying several things, including clearing the LZ, I said piss on it and used the ctrl + o cheat to plunk a factory right on the LZ ( which didn't function anyway). But then guess what?  The transport left and I was able to play the game normally  :o  Go figure.

And Then....

I cleared all the secondary bases, got all the artifacts, but when I went to load my best vehicles into the transport for the final push into the Nexus main base, it started doing the same thing    >:( AAAAGGGHH!!!!
