So I was browsing my archives and found this:
Can any one tell me anything about this version? It has to be one of the first openGL versions.
In anycase it is the first version of warzone I ever played. The only thing I remember about it was that I found it on Source Forge and it always crashed in the mission where nexus starts to steal your buildings and so I never was able to finish the campain.

Re: Archive
Not long after release... 0.2.2 so probably first few attempts at integrating OpenGL This would be not long after 1.10a was tagged. I do not see a tagged folder for 0.2.2 but it looks fairly clean in the screenie above. While it may not be used anymore there are still ways to access the wz svn. I still play around in it looking for tidbits and tips for my own project.

IIRC these old versions are available here: http://download.gna.org/warzone/
Also, if anyone knows where the source code for 0.2.2 is, I'd love to know so I can fill a gap in this table: https://warzone.atlassian.net/wiki/disp ... ge&Berlios

Re: Archive
I wasn't very clear but I got that screen by installing from a installer I found in my archives. There doesn't appear to be any way to set any graphics options so windowed at that res is the best I could do. The options may be avlible from the cmd line but there is no gui for them. The game data is all in .wdgs and there is a readme for 1.11 patch included.
In anycase this is a great reminder of just how far warzone has come over the years

In general, if you see glowing, pulsating things in the game, you should click on them.
