fog of war

Post by carbon dude oxide »

hello everyone, i may / may not remember in version 1.0 (original disks) being able to set fog of war on so that you cannot see anything on the map until you have actually been there, so where you have not been there it was a thick black cloud. if i am right and it was there are we still able to turn it on? :D

In 3.x branch the fog of war only really masks map objects (features, structures, units), it no longer masks the terrain topology. I'm not aware of any easy way to turn it back on, but there might be something in the game config file: https://warzone.atlassian.net/wiki/display/mod/config
"Dedicated to discovering Warzone artefacts, and sharing them freely for the benefit of the community."

The new fog of war shows both where you have never been (darkest fog) and where you cannot see (lighter fog) at the same time.

That is only fun (if you think that is fun) until you've learned the layout of the maps...
