New guy here--also he has ideas

Ideas and suggestions for how to improve the Warzone 2100 base game only. Ideas for mods go in Mapping/Modding instead. Read sticky posts first!

New guy here--also he has ideas

Post by [RYDA]DUBru »

Why hello you sexy neckbeards. I am [RYDA]DUBru, aka HereticRAIDAA, aka HereticMIND.

Not new to the concept of forums, but I am new to the game.

Anyway, let me get straight to brass tacks here.

-----------

GAME-PLAY/COMPETITIVE MULTIPLAYER BALANCE
  • Would be nice to see the sharing of replays so that people can cast this game, thus spreading the word about this project, which would get new talent involved, and possibly get it sponsored by MLG at one of their tournaments!
  • Maybe if the weaknesses of each chassis design were a bit more obvious in both single- and multiplayer, people would start to adapt and develop their own playstyles, which would create a bit of a metagame.
  • Adding an observer's spot would be nice for casters as well, and would be a boon for those MLG-sponsored tournaments I was talking about earlier.

~~~~~~~
I do have more to add, but I'm a lazy old bastard and I wanna hear what you guys think. :3
There is already mods that allow observers as your new you might not have seen them yet
There are many folks that record their games and post the replays for others to see maybe they will repost their video links here for you.
If you look at your design menu closely you can see the stats of each part you assemble for you tank template if this is what you refer to..
No wait, it might be an old topic (April) , but this is a guy who is introducing himself, and no one answered. Maybe this is what kept him from being an active member?
Anyway, I didn't know some of these stuff, so it's nice to know now. :)
Ahh, yes, yet another sword of damocles - necroing.
Thank goodness for the entire Western world that the Renaissance greats had no notion of this "necroing" when they resurrected the extant corpus of works from the Golden Age of Athens outta the oblivion of 2 millennia. ;)
Not really. ;) Just as a general guiding principle in not pre-judging, on a strictly temporal criteria, the worthiness of the past to the present. That's all. :hmm:
