stupid nexus AI

Post by TheChris80 »

hi everyone

I was playing warzone as skirmish
seems to be nice for beginning but there is only one problem with the ai.
They are so easy to handle if they attack because they always attack with single or max 4 units.
maybe they are strong but the army in my base will crush their tanks without problems.
its easy to beat them if you not a rookie.

i am not a programmer but i know a few things about it.
what is if in the code of the AI he only attack with 10 units or more?
That would make them more challenging even for beginners (if i remember right the ai builds on easy only 2 sience labs so beginners have a good chance to defend their self)

i also found out that the AI is very weak in base defense.
i made an own map but the ai ist not able to defend their self if they get a attack and he ask me always for help.
they just build single engineers or trucks but no units for defense. ( a tank or something like that)
oh and on my map i marked alot as turretpoints (very much)

i think a good AI dont just entertain newbies.
a good AI teach a player if they right programmed.

What is the community thinking about ?

I would correct the source of the AI but my knowledge is too low to do that.(sorry)

best regards
Chris

Essentially, they do attack in groups, but these groups get stretched all across the map by the time they reach you. Nullbot tries to regroup his units into a single cluster before engaging the battle.

there is a command ingame who says warzone all units are not faster than the slowest unit.
an AI can give this command to the game too or not ?
that would help it if it works.

There is no such command ingame, formation movement was removed due to bugs.

Even if it were there, i don't think the AI could use it. Even if he could, it would have still had its drawbacks (eg. the new units should rather join the group at full speed than wait for the next attack tick).

I repeat, this problem is solved manually in nullbot and, as far as i remember, it was solved manually in DyDo as well. So there's no need to worry about it.

Mutiple NEXUS AI can be very dangerous when low oil resource controled,VTOLs allowed and starting with T1.
Sometimes enemy(NEXUS and simperfi) will stop researching,I don't know why

I haven't observed that, never. Are you sure? Can you prove this with a savegame?

I played it in version2.3.9.
This may be the one.
