One thing for sure - Wikia ain't going anywhere and whatever is done there is not gonna disappear from one day to the next. The infrastructure is robust and will endure as long as Wikipedia.

An important point. But judging from history, a bigger concern is someone getting pissy and taking it down.

That is true, which is why I hope that I could eventually hire a few bureaucrats to maintain the wiki while I'm gone, and to keep eachother, and myself, in check.

@stiv if you were referring to my wiki, it was only down for maintenance and I forgot to put it back up after I rage quit, it's back up now. WZP staff are more than welcome to have admin accounts on there if you're worried about it in future. Also, did you see that lav_coyote25 site is back up?

@Berg, yup those spiderman adds (especially that one at top that keeps covering top half of page if you accidentally mouse over it) are really annoying. Wikia is just one giant spiderman advert at the moment.

Different visions, emphasis, etc. motivate and mobilize. Freedom is messy. If all cross-reference each other then the choices will be clear - choose your flavor, basically. And with apt licensing, whatever components are found most effective can be mirrored or duped - nothing need go to waste and what you end up with is a Darwinian selection dynamic benefitting the game and its audience long term. It's all good in the end.
