Your Favorite Tank Design
There are so many possible designs, I'm wondering which one you think is the best. Tell the body type, propulsion, and weapon(s) and why you think its the best. Unless you think its so great it should be classified, of course.

any NP body / sensors+any artillery / hover, because devastating hit-and-run attacks are lovely.

Body: viper>cobra>python>mantis>vangeance>dragon
propulsion : wheel>htrack > (if on defence : tracks /if facing rockets : hover / otherwise : still htrack)
Weapon : the newest the better (any single weapon line is decent)

My personal favorite is Python-Hover-Mortar for the early game because the slower tanks cant catch you and you can just keep crushing them.

Amiral JCDG: Sort of anti-lancer tank? Otherwise HPVs are hit-and-run (slow-reload) weapons, so they are normally put on hovers.

Sorry, I didn't correctly read the first post.
HPV cannons shoot form very far, so they can be mounted on slow bodies since they are behind your first line of units. They are the only cannons able to shoot VTOLs.

Re: Your Favorite Tank Design
The long range would tempt me to put them on faster bodies/propulsion, so they can utilise that range better and hopefully not get hit (as much). I'd put them on medium half-tracks behind heavy tracked tanks with heavy cannon.
