Opening port 2100

I have difficulty hosting games due to port2100 not being open.... I am on Virgin Superhub and have no idea how to do it yet if i connect to the internet via my wireless 3 dongle, i have no problems hosting
Anyone got any ideas how to fix the problem?

You need to open the port in your router.

If you are connecting through a router, then check that, if you have a firewall, then check that.
Can't really help that much more until we know what modem / router / OS you are using.

I am aware that i need to change the settings on the router but I am some what thwarted on how to change them. The router is a Netgear Virgin Super Hub (VMDG480) any further help on the topic would be greatly appreciated

If you use windows go to windows firewall: if you use windows 7 click advanced settings.
