In Debian (and appearantly Ubuntu), libglc is not available from even the official Debian experimental repository.

Well the Ubuntu part is hardly surprising as most packages in Ubuntu are just automatically copied over from the Debian repositories. (Most exceptions lie within the non-free stuff.)

Anyway as I wasn't making progress on my libquesoglc package, and someone else, i.e. Bradley Smith, proposed he submit his package which he had (nearly?) finished already. I agreed and as such Debian bug #443055 (ITP: libquesoglc) is now registered as the owner of that bugreport. So hopefully he can make faster progress on this than I can. As I've got very few experience with Debian packaging, especially library packages, not to mention I've got little to no time to spend lately, I expect his jumping in will accelerate the adoption of this package into Debian.
