Hold on there. .... that looks like a foxy Scav Babe.
Who's to say the Baba can't have hot shot babe mechanics like Joss Whedon did in Firefly / Serenity. Just take away her sword and she's good to go! Plenty Warzoneish, for me anyway..

Re: [3.1+] Ultimate Scavenger AI Mod
Do you mind if I propose a few ideas of my own?
Scavenger Rocket Soldier: A scavenger warrior armed with a shoulder-mounted RPG launcher. As fragile as a Scavenger Foot-Soldier, but at least he's more threatening towards the player's vehicles.
Junk Tank: Not all Scavengers value speedy weaponized buggies, jeeps, or fire trucks. Some Scavengers value additional protection, protection that could only come from a tank. While the Scavengers have been mounting their own prototype version of the NEXUS Link Turret onto these 30-ton vehicles (most likely either M2 Bradley IFVs or M4 Sherman Tanks), they've also been known to mount Light Cannons, Minipods, and Heavy Machineguns onto them, among other things. Sadly, these tanks' armor is severely degraded (even though it still offers far more protection than the typical Scavenger trike or bus). While the Scavengers have attempted to jury-rig additional armor onto them, the additional weight has made them more sluggish than (albeit as well-protected as) a typical player-controlled light tank.
Monster: This is the nickname that Scavengers have given to salvaged M1A1 Abrams tanks. Although outdated by 2080s standards (having long been replaced by the more modular Python and Mantis bodies), these 60-ton tanks are the Scavengers' equivalent of a heavy tank. With the ability to support heavy equipment such as Heavy Cannons, Twin Assault Cannons, Ripple Rockets, or Howitzers, and with reinforced jury-rigged armor to help make up for the tanks' heavily-degraded composite armor, the Monster is a Scavenger vehicle with no equal (at least when it comes to Scavenger vehicles). Thankfully (at least for players), they're very expensive and time-consuming for Scavengers to produce, partially because they require a lot of work to get up and running, and partially because the M1A1 Abrams tanks were in the process of being decommissioned prior to the Collapse, and were, therefore, rare to find.
Big rig: While best known as those 18-wheeled delivery trucks that deliver gasoline or supplies to various places during pre-Collapse times, the Scavengers realized that they could be used to tow various kinds of weapons, from mortars and howitzers to AA guns and flak cannons to rocket artillery. Some resourceful Scavengers have even opted to replace the rear wheels and towing compartment with treads, turning these weaponized 18-wheelers into weaponized half-tracked big rigs, and allowing them to carry extra armor and/or armaments.
Mini-chopper: Although much smaller than the Gyro-chopper, these civilian helicopters were repurposed by the Scavengers into lightweight airborne weapons platforms. Armed with only a single Heavy Machinegun or Minipod, they are better suited for scouting purposes.
Garrisoned Buildings: Although these old degraded buildings served many roles before the Collapse, from office buildings to apartment complexes, the Scavengers saw that, with enough room to support entire squads of foot-soldiers, all sorts of heavy man-portable equipment such as Heavy Machineguns and RPGs, and reinforced plywood, metal, and such to provide them with adequate protection, partially thanks to a crap-ton of support beams that the Scavengers would add onto the degraded structure to keep the thing from collapsing from its own weight, these buildings could be turned into veritable fortresses that could survive much more punishment than the typical Scavenger Bunker (though nowhere nearly as much as a Cannon Fortress). Sadly, due to how flammable much of the structures' materials tend to be (while these buildings would've been protected from small fires due to the presence of a sprinkler system, they're no longer functioning thanks to the effects of the Collapse), the buildings are (unlike player-controlled Fortresses) as vulnerable to fire as the Scavengers' shoddy bunkers are.

Some interesting ideas so far Shadow Wolf. I just happen to have found an old PIE file for an M1A1 yesterday. Just need to find out from Rman what license all the old N.E.W.S.T. stuff was put under. I think it was cc by sa but not 100% sure. If so shouldn't be difficult to convert that old PIE to the new format and spruce it up a bit (provided its a good model to start with).

In-game test for scavenger repair center. I have all the code ready, but isn't it a bit large?
Also: does anybody have any idea why doesn't the third connector of three-turret truck body model work on master, while still working on 3.1? >_<

I told this Projects devs a few years back now to use the licence that worked best for them. Look at the addons in the distro. Should be in there.Lord Apocalypse wrote:Some interesting ideas so far Shadow Wolf. I just happen to have found an old PIE file for an M1A1 yesterday. BlackProject did a sweet Abrams a few years ago that he licensed for the Project.... should be in repository or you can do a forum search.
@Shadow Wolf: Well thought-out and inspirational. The Scavs look to have a renaissance-like future with all this quality creativity.

Re: [3.1+] Ultimate Scavenger AI Mod
Thanks guys.
By the way, have any of you heard of a game called Command & Conquer: Generals? I got some of these ideas, such as the big-rig-turned-half-track and the junk tank, from the Global Liberation Army's units. Of course, given the every-man-for-himself survivalist-oriented mindset of the Scavengers as opposed to the groupthink fanatical-oriented mindset of the GLA, I doubt that the Scavengers would employ suicide bombers or demo trucks.
