VTOL Enhancements

I'm just posting this to point out that in 2012, we have airborne technology that doesn't exist in Warzone, despite the fact it is 88 years in the future. Also, pointing out some things in development that we will most likely have in 2100.

First, the stuff we have in 2012:
AWACS
AWACS stands for Airborne Warning And Control System. This is a long range air-to-air sensor that detects inbound hostile flights and sends said data to friendly interceptors. In Warzone, this would equate to a specifically air-to-air sensor that could be mounted on VTOLS. Interceptors assigned to it would intercept the detected enemy flights and destroy them as soon as they were out of detected SAM range. If the SAM or AAA site is undetected, the interceptors would not take them into account.

JSTARS
JSTARS stands for Joint Surveillance target Acquisition Radar System. Basically AWACS for ground targets. This would have all the capabilities of a Wide Spectrum Sensor on a VTOL

Now the stuff we probably will have in 2100

Mobile VTOL rearming pads. This seems to be a fairly commented on idea. It would just be a VTOL rearming pad added to the systems category in the design menu.

More AA missiles. The sunburst is nice, but we could use more selection. Like an AA laser. (If that is already implemented, please ignore it)

AWACS could be implemented by putting a VTOL Strike turret or VTOL CB turret on to a VTOL (the AWACS VTOL) then assigning other VTOLS to the AWACS. Game doesn't currently allow sensors to be put on VTOLs, but it would be an interesting concept for a mod developer to consider? Maybe a new aircraft chassis would be needed with a sensor turret slot on it.

JSTARS could be implemented in similar way - an aircraft with a sensor turret slot.

I'm still not sold on mobile VTOL rearm pads, however if naval maps become a reality in a later warzone version then aircraft carriers would be a natural thing to consider.

If you want more AA missiles, check out the Contingency Mod (Beta) -- it adds dozens of new weapons, bodies and other stuff, including several new AA missiles/rockets IIRC.

VTOLS are banned by most players but i want them back . You can lett them makes circlels already and with the sensors we have ,it can be working that way .

Rearming as well iff you lett them fly in a circle .

@Vicky it might be worth downloading an IRC desktop app like mIRC (Windows) or Colloquy (Mac)
