iamaloner wrote:Guys, map balancing is stupid for quite a few reasons:

1. Less Difficulty (if you fight with someone with a same skills as you, well it would be never ending stand still and betwen you and your enemy a "No Mans Land")
2. Not quite real (cmon never in history there werent balanced battlefield, only in world war 1 and some battles in 18/19 century)
3. Predictability of the route (specialy in the maps where are cannons... Easily places defence and one wrong move and you are out of a game and its not DOTA or StarCraft)
Have you ever played MP?
And why do you compare balance of maps of WZ whit balance in real wars? O_o

It sure can be. You've heard of "King of the Hill" & "Capture the Flag" right...just substitute Marlyn for the "Hill" or "Flag" and you gotcha some playful game play. :3

You know, some maps I have seen in the past reminds me of inkblots.

Does this mean that we need to perform psychological tests on map makers, or users or both ? :hmm: :close_tema:

Nah... on both counts. :)

BTW, I think your avatar photo is quite becoming and your interest in WZ and map making very cool indeed. We need more gender diversity in this community, me thinks. :3

Yes, its a shame more ladies do not play games. But, at least we know of a few Vicky for starters here, and over on youtube you can check out Mintchip who play WoW and EVE that I know of. I am sure there are others. I think many of them just hide their gender so as to not have to deal with the jerks who like to make snide comments during online play (though few as my on Avatar in WoW and EVE are primarily female, and are generally accepted and not taunted).

We should embrace the female gaming community and hope more come out of the woodwork so we can point and laugh at those most masculine male players can be shamed for letting a girl beat the crap out of them. Now that would serve two interests. First it would diversify the player base and second would rid of of some of the more insane egotistical and obnoxious players (IMO anyway).

I know other girls who play online games but they are bit younger then me ( i am 52 ) . I think allot teenager girls are playing online . Even ordinary shooters :( . Or they play Sim City or some brick game . For me i am not good at Shooter games because i always miss and before i have one in view to kill i dead before i can pull over my tricker :( .
And most men hate it to lose from a girl hihihihihi .

the onion stinks as bad as this thread :lol2:
it is just going way off topic with people talking about how they look and other oddball comments  that is why a mod should strip those posts and put them in the lounge :annoyed:

It is some times easier to let folks be humans then exact a toll for being off topic hence your posts continue to be off topic berating the others rather lets just continue with the threads topic and not behead those that try to be human ...
If the some times alien posts offend you

Sure best way to find out is make the maps and let others see how they play out...Talking on how to make a map and what the authors experience in multi player is has not got the same result as actually playing a map so less talk more action.
