Can't get cheat mode

Hi there,

I also have some trouble with the Cheat mode.

My system:
Windows XP Professional SP3
Warzone2100 v2.3.9
comandline to start:
"C:\Programme\Warzone 2100-2.3.9\warzone2100.exe" --cheat

QWERTZ-keyboard, system (windows) running in German
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Program starts without problem
I start a single player campaign game
I press SHIFT+BACKSPACE
WZ2100 tells me, that CHEATMODE is activated
WZ2100 tells me, that DEBUGMODE is active

The shortcuts (e.g. Alt+x) are working very fine.

But I canot get a "command line" to enter the cheat codes. Of course I try BACKSPACE and I try step by step all other keys, but never a command line opens.

Maybe someone can give me a tip what I should do. Would be great.

I am working in the moment in China, so youtube is not working here . Even via web-proxy it is not reachable. I think the company is blocking it.

I post in a one year old because a) it is the last and b) I hate if someone open 1425 threads with the same meaning/problem

What do you mean with "enter" is the key. I try the key with "Enter" written on it (NumPad) and also the Enter key with the arrow.
My Laptop is a acer TravelMte 7730.

Is it possible, that this chats are not working because I installed in german (because I am a German )?

Ah, know I know what you mean. I just see that I wrote nonsens
Of course I meant ENTER instead of Backspace. My keypad is looking like following picture.
I marked my two Enter keys. I tried both, but didn't work

I think it is because of german/english keypad or german/english installation.

In anyway the game is fuc*** great

Hmmm, just to confirm, the Enter key on the left (with the arrow on it) does work in other programs, doesn't it? (The key isn't defective, that is?)

Um, run Warzone with --debug=input then reset your keymap, (hit trash icon a few times) then in the game, hit each enter key a few times, then exit out of game, and post the logs.

First of all, the enter key (both) are working

Try to start with: "C:\Programme\Warzone 2100-2.3.9\warzone2100.exe" --debug=LOG_INPUT
caused a crash with enclosed fault message.

I found the logs directory, emtpy it and try again to start. Again same fault. Logs directory stays empty.

If I start normal, there are created two logs in the log directory (*.log and *.txt)

I deleted the keymap file and start the game normally, so keymap is renewed.

What else ?

Do anybody know if it is possible to use the enter key like an ASCII Code (e.g. Alt+0128 --> €)?
Found it, it's ALT+013, in Word and Excel it is working. But not in WZ

Here is the file.

I started the game. Pressed 5 times the small "enter" key
pressed backspace
pressed 5 times the enter key (carriage return, with the arrow).

Log file looks good. It says both of the key is "enter".

Whoops, sorry about the typo

Anyway, input |09:02:36: [inputHandleKeyEvent] Key Code (pressed): 0x10f, 271, [?] SDLkey=[enter] So it is seeing you are pressing the key OK.

Do shift+backspace, that enters debug mode (verify by doing ctrl-o for the debug dialog), assuming that works, then you should have no problem pressing enter, and typing out the cheat you want, and hit enter again to end the command.
