The intro FMV shows that it's not an underground base though...?

aubergine, you have swapped team beta (Chicago) and gamma (mountains) locations. ;-)
Still I don't think we need to have several years to accomplish that.
But I have another idea, like part of original team left behind (maybe due to attack?) and they could built scav like settlement and later reuniting with main group could lead to creation of Project as we know it. ;-)

Well, they would spent that several years to built that part. :-D

I had suggested using NTW assets in conjunction with USM for this Campaign. If you feel that isn't something you'd like to happen, please feel free to say so and I'll respectfully withdraw future suggestions like that. It IS your mod, after all.
I find this really ironic.

Do you know the history of NTW Mod. ..?

I do. Early on lots of stuff from NEWST (Pumpkin-2), RsGod, Speedy, BOTman..... When I saw this early iteration I knew immediately & said whoa there buddy...you need to give credit AND get permission. I could speak for a bunch of the stuff. Amazing. O_o

A group of survivors discover an abandoned subterranean military base. They set up home there and begin The Project.

I had no idea. And here I thought it was Delphino's work entirely.

Well then...

Ya, I really have no clue where things are in the USA heh, hence the question marks on the image.

So, am I correct in understanding that this is project hq: http://www.norad.mil/about/cmoc.html

So this is that location apparently. ;-)

It's "near" Cheyenne Mountain location (as far as I've found quickly), but for sure this is different one, as that one is already not enough top secret. ;-)

Updated draft of timeline ...finding the base earlier, but still not quite as early as Emdek would like :p

The route to the base would take them though Utah where there are two key bases that may be of interest:

http://militarybases.com/utah/

The air force base could be where they get the transports from? The proving grounds could be where they get the Viper body from?

Uhm, wrong. If you create stuff that sits on top of GPL stuff (uh, like wz2100) then the GPL license extends to your stuff, unless your stuff doesn't require any of the wz2100 stuff (which, unfortunately for you, it relies on entirely).

Take your end-credits video. It uses GPL media from wz2100 which means that by definition the entire video and everything in it, including any unique stuff you created, is now also GPL because you created a derivative work based on GPL content. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viral_license

In any case, due to weirdness that you create stuff in open source community but try and restrict it's use (srsly, wtf?!), I doubt anyone will want to be associated with the stuff you create. Looking at the Ultimate Scavenger Mod it seems the rest of us are able to happily collaborate together to create new stuff anyway, so we'll just go on doing that.

Note: If you want to discuss this more, please start new thread as this thread isn't really place to be discussing licensing stuff.
