Re: Warzone's power system
If I were to design an e-sports RTS game, I would definitely choose a direct debit power system. However, Warzone is not that. . I dislike this perceived dichotomy between "hardcore e-sports" games and "casual" games. It frustrates me, as it frustrates me to hear "StarCraft...

[Edited "Nick Morro"'s obvious and insulting innuendo to something more constructive.] . When I originally wrote that statement, I wrote it the way I did because I was replying to your own statement and trying to address you directly. I thank you for bringing to my attention that it could...

Re: Warzone's power system
Anyhow, in your opinion, which of the two systems would appear to work out best for wz2100? Or maybe there is another system altogether that works very well to inform the gamer of how well he is doing on his resources? And I believe we are all on the same page when I say that a gamer could manage h...

Re: Warzone's power system
With direct debit, won't we see more quicker and more chunky deductions from power level and won't that be a bit more confusing? We may see drops in our power levels as 1000-> 900-> 800-> 700... (when two factory is producing a unit that costs 50 power in an infinite loop). But with power flow, you...

. Are you suggesting that Warzone isn't already, and I quote, "better than this"?
. The nerve!

Re: Oversized Maps (Above 256x256 Tiles)
I also am all for the increase of maximum map sizes. It prolongs game play, allows a more tactical approach, and gives more room for map makers to create epic leet layouts. . . Prolonging gameplay is not necessarily a good thing. . One should observe that most current maps are well below the 250x25...

Re: Body Usefulness
. . Light bodies, unfortunately, do not present much use outside of the beginning of a game. However, the Bug is useful when paired with an inexpensive weapon for "spamming" tactics, such as bunker buster VTOLs, or heavy machinegun tanks. . The Panther is often brought up as a body worse t...

. . After Pumpkin Studios closed down, a group of people started work on Warzone 2120: http://trueblues.warzone2100.de/dev_wz2120mod.php . Unfortunately, development stopped completely in 2004, when the source code was released. . Kreuvf, the leader of the development of the Warzone 2120 mod, is a m...

Re: some graphic remake(updated jan-14)
It is interesting, but way too different and, in many parts, very weird. Most of your models makes me think of a sixth, different faction, that doesn't seem to be from earth. Again, I agree that the creativity of your work is top-notch, but I just can't like your textures (by the same reason I didn...
