Guys, any idea how did they solve this issue in, for example, starcraft 2? Cause in the few attempts to play it i noticed that units bulk through the crowds surprisingly swiftly.

Each unit that has been told to move needs a moving timer to see if it is temporarily blocked, fully blocked or free. If that one does not move for will say two seconds, choose the next one. If it is moving for will say 5 or 10 seconds it is marked as free.

probably easiest solution to to tell block units to turn right, move forward, then check path to target. This way each unit }{ will turn right, instant hole. May not work 100% but could be a start at least.. or have priority moves. group 1 outbound, group two incoming damaged. Give group 2 higher priority to get to repair yard so group 1 has to move away until path is clear.
